Known issues:
- Fake motherboard/chipset
This motherboard and/or its chipset is either a replica of or falsely advertised as a higher-end competing product. Fake products often have lower performance and quality and are in general harder to find proper drivers and BIOS files for.
Please check your motherboard in detail to determine if its a fake product or not. If it is, you should immediately refund the product if possible.
Notes:
Often sold as counterfeit ASRock G41M-VS3 or a Foxconn motherboard (unknown model) in Turkey, although the actual manufacturer is ITZR. It was also relabeled and sold by Asboard and Quadro, both Turkish re-labelers.
-
If you have purchased an ASRock G41M-VS3 or a Foxconn G41 motherboard, please check your board in detail and compare the locations of the components on the motherboard with both official pictures online and the pictures of the known counterfeit motherboard here to make sure you do not have a counterfeit board.
-
Another way of checking the authencity of your ASRock G41M-VS3 would be to check the BIOS version. If your ASRock board has Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG, you most likely have a counterfeit board (all known genuine ASRock boards have AMIBIOS instead).
-
The model name is often reported as "Eaglelake" or "Eaglelake (Socket 423)" in BIOS DMI. Despite the odd "(Socket 423)" suffix in the DMI, it is an LGA775 board.
