The 82438VX Data Path Unit, or TDX, is a vital part of the Intel 430VX PCIset, working alongside the 82437VX System Controller (TVX) to ensure seamless data transfers. The TDX provides data paths between the CPU/cache, main memory, and PCI bus, enabling increased system performance through read prefetch and posted write buffers.
